Preguntas frecuentes
Here are the most common questions about buying, installing, and using an iMESIM travel eSIM. Please also check each product page for destination-specific plan details.
1. Can I use an eSIM on my phone?
You can use an eSIM if your device supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Many recent iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and other major smartphones support eSIM. Some models, including certain China mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau versions, may not support eSIM, so please check your device before purchase.
2. How do I buy and install an iMESIM eSIM?
Select your destination, data plan, and service days, then complete checkout. After purchase, you will receive a QR code digitally. Install the eSIM while connected to stable Wi-Fi before departure, then turn on the eSIM line and data roaming when you arrive.
3. When will I receive my eSIM QR code?
In most cases, the QR code is delivered by email shortly after successful payment. Please check both your inbox and spam folder. If you do not receive it, contact us with your order number and purchase email.
4. Can I use one QR code on multiple phones?
No. Most eSIM QR codes can be installed only once and on one device. If multiple travelers need data, please purchase one eSIM for each device.
5. How fast is the network?
Depending on the destination, device, plan, and local network conditions, your eSIM may connect to 4G/LTE or 5G where available. Actual speed can vary by location, signal quality, network congestion, and device compatibility.
6. Do I need to turn on data roaming?
Yes. To use mobile data through your travel eSIM, turn on data roaming for the eSIM line after arrival. To avoid unexpected charges, keep data roaming off on any line you do not want to use abroad.
7. Are calls and SMS included?
Most iMESIM travel eSIM plans are data-only. Calls and SMS are included only if the specific product or option clearly states that they are supported.
8. What should I do if I lose my QR code?
First, check your email inbox, spam folder, and order confirmation. If you still cannot find it, contact us with your order number and purchase email so we can help verify your order.
9. How can I check my remaining data?
Data usage and balance-check methods vary by destination and plan. Some plans may provide a separate balance-check page, while others require checking your phone’s mobile data usage settings.
10. Can I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on the plan status. Unused and uninstalled eSIMs may be reviewed for refund. Once an eSIM has been installed, activated, or connected to a mobile network, refunds may be limited due to the nature of digital eSIM products.
11. Can I reinstall an eSIM after deleting it?
In most cases, no. Many eSIMs can be installed only once. Do not delete your eSIM profile until your trip is finished and you no longer need the plan.
12. What should I do if installation fails?
Make sure your device supports eSIM, is carrier-unlocked, and is connected to stable Wi-Fi. If QR scanning does not work, check whether manual installation details are available. If the issue continues, contact customer support with your order information and screenshots of the error.
